This year’s Christmas card by Dom Murray (follow @sinistersnowmen on Twitter).

It’s here already – the obligatory end-of-the-year blog, and what a crazy year it’s been!

You’ve probably heard a bit less from me this year on the project front, but I’ve been uncommonly busy behind the scenes. Getting this website up and running was a mammoth task, and I’m very pleased with how it’s turned out. On the fiction side of things, I’ve turned in a new manuscript to my agent – the first novel I’ve finished in over two years – so fingers crossed we find a good home for it! Gaming-wise, I’ve been working on rules for The Walking Dead and The Elder Scrolls, and a whole bunch of projects that won’t see fruition until next year, but which I’m very excited about.

On a personal note, I will say that’s it’s been a tough year. I know many people have found it mentally exhausting, and even Christmas seems a more muted and nervy affair than it should be by rights. I don’t think anyone could have foreseen the sheer amount of upheaval that 2020 brought, and I’m sure we’ll all be glad to see the back of it… Take some cheer in the knowledge that these things cannot last forever, and 2021 will surely bring with it happier tidings.

In that spirit of optimism – and for all my usual curmudgeonliness, I really do mean it – I want to reach out and thank you for your continued support, and wish every one of my friends, followers, fans, colleagues and family all the very best for the holiday season.

Season’s greetings to you all, and a Happy New Year.
